Starting on Dec. 9, business taxpayers will be able to view their account status online through the OH|TAX eServices system.
This new platform will let you check your account balances, make electronic payments, and access transcripts and payment history.
The OH|Tax eServices platform launched in September 2023 and offers a seamless application for filing returns, making payments, requesting forms, and checking refund status. It allows taxpayers to file personal income and school district returns. The OH|TAX portal integrates with existing State of Ohio filing systems such as the Ohio Attorney General, Ohio Treasurer of State, and Telefile.
Work on the next phase of the OH|TAX project is nearly complete. Once finished, it will allow taxpayers to file even more returns. This new part of the portal is set to go live in December and will offer significant enhancements to the taxpayer experience.
The following tax types will be included in OH|Tax eServices December update:
- Sales and Use Tax
- Employer and School District Withholding
- School District and Individual Income Tax
- Adult Use Cannabis
- Natural Gas Distribution Tax
- Public Utility Personal Property
- Public Utility Excise Tax
Users will still access their existing accounts using their Ohio Business Gateway credentials or register new business accounts through the Ohio Business Gateway. After logging in, they will see a new transaction, OH|TAX eServices, which will be used to access the new functionality.
