Management Consultant & Business Valuation Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Management Consultant and Business Valuation Specialist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting or comparable business setting. The right candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will provide a variety of Management Consulting and Valuation Services for our existing clients as well as for new client opportunities that he or she creates. The ideal candidate will conduct business valuations for a wide variety of purposes, including succession planning, business sales, mergers and acquisitions, divorce planning and estate planning. This individual must also be able to create strategic models to evaluate and monitor business performance to assist business owners in choosing and adopting the best alternatives for their business and to create financial models, forecasts, projections and budgets. Candidates should be able to assist clients in a broad range of industries in acquiring lender financing as well as in performing agreed upon procedures for various purposes, including litigation support. Must be able to provide expert witness testimony for domestic relations, trust and estate, fraud, lost wages and limiting damage cases, where appropriate, and develop policies and procedures for improving internal controls.
Recognizing that one individual may not possess all of the above skills, the ideal candidate will, nonetheless, possess a vast majority of them.
Responsibilities
- Manages client relationships to provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards.
- Takes ownership of assigned projects and tasks.
- Keeps lines of communication open with partners, staff and clients.
- Serves as a resource for staff.
- Meets time and client deadlines.
- Participates in planning and scheduling of client engagements.
- Establishes good working relationships with all Zinner & Co. LLP partners, managers and staff members.
- Stays updated on latest developments as they affect business and industry, as well as the Firm’s policies.
- Prepares other reports, projects, and duties as may be assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in accounting or closely related curriculum.
- Holds a current and valid certified public accountant’s license, or a comparable accreditation.
- At least 5 years’ experience in public accounting or other comparable experience in a variety of business settings, demonstrating a progression in complexity, scope and number of engagements managed.
- At least 5 years’ experience in performing business valuations.
- Proficiency using a variety of software, including the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skill with other financial and accounting software.
- Proven record of successfully managing multiple simultaneous projects and engagements for a variety of clients
- Other accreditations that are helpful include financial forensics and business valuation.
